A Silly Dance

I find no need
for you to dance
so elaborately-

around the table,
and the potted plant, that
potted plant, that
plotted to steal
your mind.

Then you’ll say,
soon you’ll find
the funny in
finding fools: familiar
and otherwise, too.

And then, there’s
the when: the when- when
worry’ll mend
your sorry ways- when
you’ll see it was
never more ever than:
a means to an
end.

You are a poet, so why do you “wish you were” ?

    Hey there,

Is it meant to be this way?
    ” the funny in
    finding fools”

BTW, I felt that the poem was a bit narrow to interpret or am I the only one facing so? It was good though.
